Following the workshops held in Maroua 3 and Mokolo, a new training session took place on July 4, 2025, in Bafoussam 3 Subdivision, located in the Mifi Health District.
Organized by Impact Santé Afrique, the civil society organization Fondation Moje, and the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) as part of the Équité Accès Palu project, this session brought together representatives from the three Bafoussam municipal subdivisions, local media, civil society organizations (CSOs), and community health workers.
The objective: to strengthen participants’ capacity to effectively use communication tools—posters, audio/video spots, and essential message guides—developed with the communities to better fight malaria.
The workshop led to several concrete commitments, including:
- Support from municipalities to organize awareness caravans;
- Logistical assistance for community health workers to scale up door-to-door sensitization efforts;
- Free airtime from local media to disseminate prevention tools and messages.
In the Mifi, local authorities, media outlets, and communities are joining forces to strengthen the fight against malaria.
