A Civil Society actors meeting for the fight against malaria brought together the Global Civil Society Network for Malaria Elimination (CS4ME) , the Global Fund Advocates Network Asia-Pacific (GFAN AP), and the Asia-Pacific CSOs Network (APCASO) on August 17-18 2019 in Thailand.
The main objectives were to solicit CSOs for advocacy in each of their regions for the mobilization of domestic resources for the Lyon 6th Replenishment Summit of the Global Fund; In addition to discuss about Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and particularly malaria advocacy with these same CSOs, and to present the priorities of organizations such as the RBM Partnership – To End Malaria, the Asia Pacific Leaders Alliance for Malaria Control (APLMA) and Expertise France through its technical assistance program Initiative 5%.
This meeting also encouraged exchanges between CSOs from different regions and enabled them to bring together their needs and concerns with a view to drawing up the CS4ME strategic plan 2020 – 2023.
