On Thursday, June 26, 2025, Impact Santé Afrique, CS4ME Secretariat, co-organized alongside the NMCP the 2nd quarterly meeting of the NMCP–CS4ME Cameroon Task force, held at United International Hotel in Yaoundé.
This strategic meeting brought together representatives from the NMCP, CCM, NBTC, CAMNAFAW, as well as CSOs that are members of the Task Force, around a common objective:
Strengthening community involvement in the national process of reprioritizing the Global Fund’s GC7 malaria grant in Cameroon.
Key recommendations from the discussions included:
- Organizing a consultation among CSOs to identify essential community interventions to be maintained;
- Promoting direct dialogue between the NMCP and communities to ensure that their priorities are fully considered during the grant revision process;
- Documenting the impact of malaria in orphanages to advocate for their systematic inclusion in LLIN distribution campaigns.
The purpose of these proposals is to ensure that the revision process for GC7 grants is more fair, inclusive, and aligned with the real needs of the most vulnerable populations.
