“Health for All” Campaign: CADELCO and AJERED MT Mobilized on the field Against Malaria

During the free health campaign “Health for All” organized by the Ministry of Public Health from August 20 to 26, 2026 in the Far North, two civil society organizations partnering with the Equité Accès Palu project, CADELCO in Maroua and AJERED‑MT in Mokolo, carried out several community awareness sessions on malaria prevention.

While the “Health for All” campaign was in full swing across the Far North, the teams from CADELCO and AJERED‑MT were already at work, close to communities, turning this national mobilization into concrete prevention messages against malaria.

In the Mokolo health district, AJERED‑MT teams conducted multiple awareness sessions on malaria transmission and prevention methods: proper and consistent use of Long‑Lasting Insecticide‑treated Nets (LLINs), sanitation, Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention, prenatal consultations for pregnant women, malaria vaccination for children under five and systematic recourse to health facilities or community health workers in case of symptoms.

In Maroua, at the request of the Coordinator of the Regional Technical Group for Malaria Control, CADELCO organized, with the support of partner civil society organizations engaged in the fight against malaria, several awareness sessions at the Maroua Regional Hospital and the Maroua Reference Hospital. These field activities benefited from the direct supervision of the Permanent Secretary of the NMCP, the Regional Tuberculosis/HIV Coordinator and the Coordinator of the Regional Malaria Technical Group.
