On 14 February 2025, Impact Santé Afrique received 10 LLINs from the Doumé Health District for the people of the Nkolbikon Baka camp, located in the Petit Pol health area. These nets were distributed to 5 pregnant women and 5 children under the age of five, covering 10 vulnerable households.
The operation was reinforced by an educational talk on the acquisition, use and maintenance of LLINs. Led by our team and two multi-skilled community health workers deployed by Pan International, this awareness-raising event was attended by 25 women in the presence of the village chief. These efforts are helping to increase the adoption and effective use of LLINs for optimum protection against malaria.

These actions illustrate the tangible progress made by the ‘Equitable Access to Malaria’ project and underline the need to pursue advocacy and community mobilisation initiatives. Access to LLINs remains a crucial issue in the fight against malaria, and every effort counts to ensure better protection for the populations most at risk.
