As part of the ‘Equitable Access to Malaria’ project, Impact Santé Afrique and the civil society organisations involved are continuing their efforts to guarantee better access to malaria control services and products for vulnerable populations. Significant progress has recently been made in the Far North and East of Cameroon.
EFFECTIVE MOBILISATION IN THE FAR NORTH
On 17 January 2025, in the LOUGGUEO chiefdom, five children who had completed their vaccination schedule but had not received Long-Acting Insecticide-Treated Mosquito Nets (LLINs) were finally able to benefit from them. The distribution was made possible thanks to CALDECO’s advocacy with the head of the DOUGGOI health area.
The event took place in the presence of the neighbourhood chief and the multi-purpose community health worker, in front of an enthusiastic and grateful community. This action demonstrates the importance of community involvement in reducing malaria and protecting children.
